The Alabama Department of Vocational Rehabilitation Services- (VR), http://www.rehab.alabama.gov Assists Alabamians with disabilities achieve independence through employment. VR provides specialized employment- and education-related services and training to assist teens and adults with disabilities in becoming employed. VR Staff work with job seekers to locate employment that specifically matches the jobseekers abilities and education.  VR staff offer job development, job placement, and job referrals.  They also offer to assist job seekers with completing job applications, creating resumes, and interview training. • JOB COACHING – Accompanying new employees to a variety of job sites, Job Coaches assist with the transition to employment. Job Coaches do this through training, accommodations and orientation. Employers may also receive tax credit for wages paid to program participants. Service currently provided in Madison County.

• JOB PLACEMENT - One to one matching of job requirements and individual skills to provide employers qualified employees and to provide jobs for persons, primarily those with vocational disabilities.
